Plant Description

It is a large shrub, with the stems covered by soft hairs. The leaves are oppositely arranged along the stems and are usually compound. The upper surface of the leaves is green and the lower surface grayish green. The flowers are born in panicles or clusters with purple to violet two-lipped corollas. The fleshy fruits contain small black seeds.
